Summer at the Ranch

I love my family! We always find a way to have fun and get dirty while doing so. I love branding...when its not windy! :) Hopefully i can make it more often.




Branding is a yearly event for the rancher and his family! Its a great time to get dirty, smelly, sweaty, thirsty, and the works. But its also a great time to spend time with your family if you can make it.



When we got back to the ranch from dropping Thomas off at the MTC, Arianna, Danielle, and I decided we needed to have a girls night. So we got dressed into our best outfits and went out to prowl the town.



Girls night was definately crazy, awesome, and unforgetable!!

My Dad, Lavoy, is a rancher... so that means we have cows, and horses to move them with. We went on a 50 mile cattle drive to move the cows from one ranch to the other! spending five days on a horse makes your body hurt all over! I forgot my camera on the trip so i had to use my phone camera! Camp was interesting. One day we slept in the horse trailer in our bed rolls the next day we slept in a rat infested cowboy trailer the third day in a shack with only one or two walls that stood up and the fourth night we slept in a rat infested shed at a ranch along the way. Our meals were awesome too! For breakfast we would pick a can of canned food out of the cooler and open it up and eat it with a fork....lunch and dinner were pretty much exactly the same. We were lucky if it wasnt pinto beans!!! By the time we were done i had blisters on my heels from my boots sadle rash on the inside of my knees my face neck and ears were almost purple from being sunburned so badly my back hurt and i had about an inch worth of dirt on my whole intire body! All in all it was really fun. i was able to spend alot of qualilty time with my two little sisters Danille and Tean and my dad Lavoy. I loved it. im sad that i might not be able to do it again and im sad that Levi wasnt abble to come.
