Easter
Since Levi and I don't live near family and we don't have any children I thought Easter would be non-eventful. I made these birds nests regrettably knowing id be the one to eat them...which is not a good idea...but then a special family invited us over for the day...and I brought all the birds nests for their children! We had a great supper we hid eggs and then sat outside in the warm (it was 65 degrees!!!) sun and watched them find the eggs. We had great conversations and good dessert. Thanks to the Cook family for being great friends and making our Easter awesome.

reminders
This is in my living room and I love it. It reminds me of people who are important to me all the time. Like my mother in law Lisa because she gave me the dresser, mirror, pic of beach, plant, and little angel doll. Then my sister Thara because of the style of decor. She is so good at decorating and putting stuff together and even though this is probably not how she would have done it it reminds me of her. Then my sister Tierra for the framed quote above the dresser. She gave me this to me and it says "if you want something to last forever you treat it differently" which is why its above the pictures of my family. Family is the one thing that can and does last forever and we all need to be reminded that sometimes. Then there are the various photo graphs which always remind me of good times. (Ps if your photo isn't up here its because you never gave us a framed one of yourself - so no hurt feelings) I love reminders of good times and memories!

Flooding
Okay so Fargo North Dakota is famous for flooding every year... before i moved here people told me that and i believed them and said ya ok, i dont really care! But now that im here it takes on a whole different meaning. I have NEVER seen so much water in my entire life!! The pictures i have dont do it justice! When we first got here we took a drive over the Red river and it looked like a normal river and now when you drive over it it looks like a HUGE lake! But thats not all! Not only has the Red river flooded but so has the Shyanne (i know its not spelled right but who cares!)and every single other river that is in this area. When you are driving down the interstate it looks like you are driving in the middle of the ocean because the fields on both sides of the road are flooded so bad that the 4-5 foot fences that surround peoples property are under water and you cant even see them anymore, also the water comes right up to the edge of the road and in some places up over the road. When you drive over a bridge thats over a river during like november the river is like 20-30 feet below the bridge but now the water is so high it goes over the road above the bridge. Its insane! We should just dig a huge trench straight to Arizona and let them have all the flood water!
P.S
i forgot to mention that just because we are pretty much all unpacked doesnt mean our house is decorated....im horrible at this! i have in an old post some pictures of the bathrooms and kitchen, look at them! because i dont have a clue on how to decorate them! so if you have any ideas please feel free to let me know!! Thanks
getting settled
life is super crazy. Even though i have time on my hands i find it really hard to take the time to blog or do anything like this really. so everytime i do blog its like catching up in a journal...so anyhow this is me catching you all up (i think i have, what, 3 followers, and i doubt any of the three even read this...so why do i bother, you ask?? i dont know...)
Well getting settled into our new home has been fun we bought a dresser for Levi (im not allowed to use it! (: ) Then we decided it would be really nice to get all my books unpacked as well so we needed a book shelf and went shopping for one but they were all too expensive so we decided we wanted to make one!
Well it was freezing in our garage so i mostly just gave moral support and cuddled in blankets or stayed inside ... I did help with the staining though!! :) I was suprized at how well it turned out. Levi did an awesome job and im proud of him! its amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it!and here is the beautiful finished product!!Now all we really have to "unpack" is the guest room which is full of all my crafting stuff. So we are on a quesst looking for a nice craft/scrapbooking table....
