I started a new job at Rosewood on Broadway. Its a nursing home, and i really enjoy working there. For Valentines Day Levi made me my very own, "Beauty and the Beast" rose. He stayed up late so he could give it to me at midnight when Valentines Day started and when I got home from work.
 We started infertility testing back in September. We tried for almost three years for children with no results and figured it was time to see a doctor. First things first we had Levi tested, the results showed nothing out of the ordinary, a month later I went in and had blood work done and was given a referral to an OB doctor, who couldn't start seeing me till January. So we waited patently. After my visit with the OB doctor, just came more waiting. Blah! At the end of february we found a miracle.
 
 We are so excited, I have taken 4 tests, all different brands, to make sure they aren't lying to us. We are due October 28th and we can't wait! My infertility doctor has now turned into my OB doctor. We are set to go!

January 2012

The month started off with looking for a new place to live. Levi and I decided that the town house wasn't for us. So we searched and found an old, unkempt, dirty farm house. Sound fun? After we looked at it I told Levi "No way!" but we ended up signing the lease. We had to clean the whole place up, which took the whole month of January. The basement was full of rotting wood pallets, dirt, dead mice, spider webs and everything gross you can imagine. The main floor had dirty, old furniture left in the rooms and the floor was really uneven with an old ugly and dirty chip board floating wood floor that was missing in some sections. The fans had 1/2 inch of dirt caked on them and the walls were just as dirty. The whole place was disgusting. We convinced the owner to let us re-do the flooring in the living room, downstairs bedroom, entry way, and laundry room. As well as repaint the inside. Levis dad, Gary, decided he would like to help and we definitely needed it! So he flew out from Arizona. The same day he arrived we helped Logan and Amanda into their own apartment.
 We got to work with all the cleaning of the basement and ripping out the floating wood flooring. Then Levi and his dad leveled out the floor by doing an overlay of 1/2 inch plywood and shimming in places that needed it. When that was done we put peel and stick tiles down in the entry way and laundry room, and had carpet installed in the living room and bedroom. We repainted everything and put floor boards down. As well as deep cleaned everything.
  I didn't add a lot of "before" pictures because they don't give us justice to how much work we three did. In the basement there were mouse traps everywhere with dead mice in them, and a lot of bugs. Levi made his own mouse trap using a bucket, antifreeze, and peanut butter. He caught a mouse too!
 After all the TLC was completed the house actually turned out really cute and nice and cozy. We haven't caught any more mice or seen any signs of mice. There is the occasional moth or spider but that is pretty normal. We finally felt comfortable enough to move in about the second week of February. Before:

Catching UP

In September my best friend Alissa Beauchesne was married to Tyler Doe. She invited me to be a bridesmaid and I gladly accepted! So I flew down to Arizona for a week and my mom and sisters met me there so I could spend some time with them as well. The only two I wasn't able to see was Tawny and Tean :(...We had a lot of fun though. We got a hotel and we went thrifting and were just like sisters...

 So in October I quit my job at the Psychiatric Hospital and then Levi's brother, Logan, and his wife Amanda moved in with us. They were newly married and new to Fargo as well. In November we had Thanksgiving and I cooked my first turkey!!

 I ended up quitting Roller Derby in November. It was a lot of fun and I wish I participated in it longer but it was better for me to quit. In December Levi and I bought a new vehicle. A Jeep Wrangler!! Its a fun car. For Christmas Lisa, Levi's Mamma, came and stayed with us. We had a very small fake tree and a dry Christmas morning! There was no snow! We must have brought the Arizona weather with us...

I ended up going to the Chiropractor for the pain I was having in my feet. The pain started when I was a junior in high school and playing basketball. I was told that the pain was "because your not in shape." And I believed this. So I pushed myself harder with my drills, but over the years the pain never went away. I have really high arches on my feet and when they would start hurting it felt as if my arches were being ripped in half. It was excruciating. The Chiropractor diagnosed me with Plantars Faciitis. They worked on my feet, shins, and knees, gave me a pair of custom orthotics, and a few exercises to do then sent me on my way. I hardly ever get that pain anymore when before it was almost daily. The process of them "working" on my shins, feet and knees was not easy. It was painful and I had bruises, a lot of bruises.
 
This pretty much sums up our year of 2011.

WOW its been forever...

Im pretty sure its been over a year since i last posted something on my blog. Life just gets crazy busy i guess. Well i guess I'm going to try and catch up with the past years events so bare with me.

Gardens

My garden is huge. I am doing it with three other women and its a little overwhelming. We planted a ton of different things and forgot to mark what is what. But we are all benefitting from it. This is just some of the things I have gotten so far. It's fun to see something grow and know you helped it. Its always fun to find things that are ready to pick too! This has definitely been a learning experience and im glad I was able to do my first garden with other learning ladies!  Thanks Linda,Brenda, and Kristy.

Tornado Sirens

Ok so the other night was a little crazy. I was sleeping on the couch while Levi was watching a movie (i work night shift, so im always sleeping lately) and suddenly i bolt upright. Levi startles and is like, "whats wrong!?" I seriously dont know why i bolted upright at that very moment but i was WIDE awake and scared (maybe i had a bad dream, idk). I looked out our livingroom window and saw a crazy sight. You know how in the movies when a hurricane or tornado is coming it shows how hard the wind is blowing? the trees are like bent half way over, the sky is gray, and its super loud!? Well thats what it looked like, a clip from a stormy movie. To top it all off i opened our front door and even though it was poring rain it was hot outside (which is not a good sign), and there was this really loud noise on top of the wind, that i had never heard before. The sound was a mix between a building security alarm, an ambulance, and something else i cant pinpoint. And it was LOUD, really loud. Well it turns out it was a tornado siren going off. So i sat back on my couch with the blinds to the window open watching the storm (i would have gone to a potato cellar, or basement, or somewhere safe but i dont have a cellar or basement and i dont know any of my neighbors, it was hopeless, so i watched the storm.) You ask, "well werent you scared?" and i say, "you bet your pants, i was!" but there was nothing i could do. I looked up on the internet where the tornado was supposed to be at and it said, "Prairie Rose" which happens to be the very exact community i live in! Which freaked me out even more! The storm passed pretty quickly (with in like half an hour) and the sirens turned off. So 10:30pm comes around and i have to get in my car and go to work (dont forget its still erie outside) while im driving down the road i keep checking my lights to make sure they're on because its super dark out, and then i realized all the street, building, and traffic lights are out. I guess the power stopped working. Also all over the road is sticks, leaves, branches, and trash, signs are tipped over, and trees are up rooted and on their sides. It was crazy. Driving to work i saw a tree on top of a car! Also one of the huge trees in front of the hospital i work at was up rooted and on its side in the drive way. It turns out a tornado didnt actually touch down but the wind was going about 100mph in every direction and did all the damage. I cant imagine what it would have been like if a tornado had touched down, im so grateful that one didnt! I have never seen, experienced, or heard these kinda things and it was definitly a new, scary adventure.

My NEW Hair

So I permed my hair...I have been thinking about doing it for a super long time and finally did it almost two weeks ago. My natural hair is so pin straight it wouldn't stay curled a whole day if I paid it a billion dollars! I was bored with my boring blah hair and needed something new and different. So far I really like it! It curls easier, I can do nothing with it and still look ok, and its just super easy. If I take a shower at night I put some moose in it and sleep on it wet and then don't even brush it in the morning! If I take a shower in the morning I put some creme and moose in it and then go with it still wet, or I blow dry it but they both get the same results so why spend more time blow drying it!? If I don't take a shower I just brush it then put some silk through my hair and go. My hair has so much more body and character and volume! I love it. Then when I get sick of it I can go have my hair straightened and then be good again. I love easy!
